There’s no formal check-in at Casa Frida—your stay begins at your own pace. Feel free to arrive at your leisure anytime after 2:00 pm. The studio will be unlocked, beautifully prepared and ready to welcome you.

Casa Frida is tucked away at the top of our garden. Its very private. You’ll
follow the garden path, pass through the Balinese gates, then continue along an elevated pathway and up several sets of stairs. We wouldn’t describe it as steep, it is a slope and there are quite a few steps and it can be a bit of a workout—especially with heavy luggage. Take your time; the peaceful hideaway and beautiful bay views waiting at the top are absolutely worth the climb.
If you prefer, you can arrange to leave your luggage at the bottom, and we will bring it up for you.
Heating and Cooling
The split-system air conditioner will keep you warm in winter and cool in summer. You’ll find the remote control in its holder on the windowsill beside the bed.
Please switch the air conditioner off whenever you leave Casa Frida.
The Fireplace
From April to October, the fire will be laid and ready for you—all you need to do is strike a match and get cosy.
Firewood is provided for restocking during your stay. Should you need more, additional firewood can be purchased from the BP service station in Safety Beach.
Smart TV
The television is a Smart TV, so you’re welcome to sign in to Netflix or your other streaming services using your own accounts. Please remember to sign out before checking out.
Art Cupboard
Feel free to use the art supplies in the art cupboard - we love seeing your artwork!
Kitchen
The stovetop is induction and will only operate when the induction pans provided are placed on its surface.
The fridge also has a small freezer compartment.
The microwave is convection and there's a mini air fryer and sandwich grill maker under the bench.
Theres is only street parking out the front (please park as close to the green barrier fence as possible) as it is a one-way street.

Our outdoor cinema is available for all guests to enjoy, weather permitting. Unfortunately, we’re unable to screen a movie if it’s raining or too windy.
The projector connects to most major streaming services, so you can choose what you’d like to watch after you arrive.
If you’re interested in a movie night, please let us know before your arrival. We’ll arrange a time in the early evening to set up the equipment—it only takes a few minutes—and then we’ll leave you to settle in and enjoy your movie under the stars.
Our solar-heated pool is available for all guests to enjoy. As you’d expect, the water warms up beautifully during the summer months, while its temperature will vary (bloody cold during Winter) with the weather at other times of the year.
Pool towels can be found in the basket beneath the bathroom sink.
We also have another Airbnb on the property, so you may occasionally meet another couple enjoying the pool. The pool is a shared space, but with only two guest accommodations, it generally remains peaceful and uncrowded.
Our traditional steam sauna is available for guests to enjoy for a small fee of $20 per session. This covers heating, additional towels and cleaning.
Please arrange a time with us beforehand, as the sauna takes approximately 20 minutes to reach the perfect temperature. Payment details can be found in the guest compendium.
